su-re.co’s Partners Support the Implementation of Renewable Energy in Indonesia

Updated: Nov 25, 2020

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." – Helen Keller

In some projects of think, do and be-tank, su-re.co works together with partners from universities, organizations, local government and schools in Bali. Montessori School Bali is one of our partners in helping local farmers to tackle climate change as well as marketing their organic products through Lil Lotus Coffee.

su-re.co has been supporting Lil Lotus Coffee as one of the activities of Lotus Class in Montessori School. Lil Lotus Coffee that consists of Ryoma, Campbell, Andreas , Lyra, and Jazz sells coffee from local farmers every Friday morning at their school. su-re.co also be there every week to show our support and assist their activities during the coffee selling.

Biogas for the World

By the end of last year, su-re.co started its su-re.coffee project by launching crowdfunding to support coffee and biogas projects for local farmers. Montessori School is one of the backers of su-re.coffee project that donate to a biogas digester. Moreover, through Twilight Market that was arranged by Montessori School Bali on May 24, 2019, su-re.co team had a chance to introduce biogas project and eco products to a larger audience. At this event, our biogas digester also showed itself at our booth during the twilight market. Many people come and see our biogas that was laid in front of our booth.

We opened chances for people to write a message on the biogas. Visitors and several fellows from Montessori participated in putting their messages on our biogas that will be installed in East Nusa Tenggara. The Deputy Director for Energy Development and Utilization from the Ministry of National Development Planning / BAPPENAS, Andianto Haryoko was also there and wrote his message and hope for renewable energy in Indonesia. BAPPENAS is also one of our partners in developing renewable energy in Indonesia!

Installing Biogas Digester for Farmers in Indonesia

As the follow-up action of su-re.coffee project, we started to install biogas digester for local farmers one by one. Recently, su-re.co team that was represented by Mayun, Chyntia and Radhya successfully installed this biogas digester in East Nusa Tenggara. We installed it together with local farmers and trained them to maintain and feed the biogas.

But, how can the biogas be there that fast??

Since our biogas digester is removable, it can be easily carried everywhere! Moreover, it also spends less cost so it is affordable for farmers. These are only some of the benefits of removable biogas. The actions do not only stop in installing biogas digester. After installing the biogas in East Nusa Tenggara, we are also preparing for Climate Field School (CFS) in collaboration with Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) and Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) to develop the capacity of farmers to adapt in climate change. We hope there will be more farmers aware of climate change and get better access to clean energy.

Stay tuned for our next project!
