[climate change] A tiny story of climate change and migrants

I'm tired today, so I'm just going to write a bit about the TIPPING+ project: at one of our regular meetings, a guest lecturer gave a talk on gender and migration, including climate-change-related.

About 15 years ago, I also did research on this kind of migration due to environmental change in Inner Mongolia, China. This kind of migration is called Eco migrant.

There are also eco-migrants due to climate change, the most famous being the Tambora volcano in Indonesia, which erupted in 1815, covering the earth with volcanic ash and causing three years of no summer from 1816 turn changed the climate and then increased floods and droughts. As a result, many refugees moved to escape poverty and hunger.

Again, this eruption happened in Indonesia, but it has also caused starvation in Switzerland.
